Listen: ASTR Stream ‘Blue Hawaii’ Track

Whether they’re employing trap beats, heady synthetics or whatever else happens to be up their sleeve, NYC duo ASTR make addictiveness an absolute priority. The Neon Gold signings have shared a new track, ‘Blue Hawaii’, which follows on from the glossy ‘Operate’ released back in late 2013.

There’s a flurry of voices swarming into this song, which has both feet firmly set on a future-gazing dancefloor. Zoe Silverman leads the way, but she’s having to fight off a stampede of glitchy synths and hip-hop samples. It’s a far cry from the yoga classes where these first two apparently first met.
