Listen: Bastille Remixes David Lynch’s ‘Are You Sure’

Look at those two. Just stop and look for a second. Has a grown man ever looked happier than Dan Smith? He essentially looks like a kid who’s just been told that Christmas is happening not one, but twice.

Dan Bastille is a very big David Lynch fan. This isn’t one of those secrets saved for drunken confessions and in-depth interviews. He really goes on about it. So when he got the chance to meet the surrealist director and remix some of his actual music, it’s very unlikely that he reacted with a ‘Hmm, maybe, if I can find the time to stop selling a gazillion records of my own…’

Bastille’s remix of ‘Are You Sure’ comes as part of the new, ‘The Big Dream Super Deluxe’ LP, which sounds extravagant and probably is (it costs £75).
