Listen: DNKL Unveil ‘Battles’ Single

Through torment and trouble comes a beautiful song, if DNKL’s latest is anything to go by. The Swedish trio have returned after 2013 breakthrough ‘Hunt’ with a second cut, similarly resolute in fledging out stormy synth lines and melancholy-drenched vocals.

The new song is ‘about realizing who we really are throughout our struggles of endeavor,’ according to the band, who remain shadowy figures pouring every piece of their identity into the music itself.

‘Hunt”s clipped percussive parts are replaced this time round with a late-night-drive groove, like an I Break Horses record being lit up in neon.
