Listen: FLESH Share New Track, ‘UR GORGEOUS’

Manchester’s FLESH have ambitions that run beyond their tiny amount of time together as a band. According to their own bio, they scrutinise ‘the raunch culture, bravado and 2D mentality of society’, and they do this by recording some of the boldest, brashest and downright rudest music around. It’ll divide opinion, will FLESH. But that’s why they’re so exciting.

They begin things with a cover of Babybird’s ‘You’re Gorgeous’. The title’s shifted to ‘UR GORGEOUS’ and musically, the whole thing is dumbed down until it’s this wicked, ear-smashing blast of a single, duly declared to be ‘SNOT POP’ by the band. Like we said, opinions will split. DIY’s in the camp that’s declaring them one of the most interesting - often confusing - new UK bands.

FLESH’s self-titled EP will be released on 18th November.
