Listen: IBV Streams New Single, ‘Left Here To Die’
Olle Strandberg - brother of Anton, from Holograms - ups the punk anti on his new song.

Stockholm based one-man-band IBV, short for I’ve Become Vapour, just released his new single ’Left Here to Die’ for free via his Bandcamp page, following last year’s excellent ’The Violence of My Land’ EP. The ’Left Here to Die’ single includes two tracks, ’Left Here To Die I’ & ‘Left Here To Die II’, two radically different versions of the same track which finds Olle Strandberg evolving from his previous work, in two opposite directions.
On ’Left Here to Die I’ IBV channels the jangly urgency of Captured Tracks acts like DIIV and Beach Fossils - Strandberg also happens to be the brother of Holograms drummer Anton Strandberg, also on the CT roster - to great affect; it’s IBV’s most straightforward track so far and it might be his best. The second version of the track is quite the opposite; slowed-down with dark and murky synth lines, and Strandberg’s vocals buried deep within the mix.
