Listen: Locke Streams New Track ‘O Boy’
Inspired, minimal new track sets the mysterious NYC artist apart from peers.

The sinister, unfamiliar shuffle of NYC artist Locke could be a genuine staple before long. Debut track ‘We Are The Prey’ surfaced two months ago, ominous in character and there to deceive. Arriving alongside striking predator-based art - think PC Music meets a David Attenborough doc - it was as distinct an introduction as possible, picking out Locke as something genuinely terrifying in terms of potential.
‘O Boy’ is the follow-up. Even more minimal than the previous track, ‘O Boy’ doesn’t ditch Portishead comparisons, but its style of production sits somewhere between Arca and Hudson Mohawke, like the depths of ‘Yeezus’ being exposed in technicolour.
