Listen: Mac DeMarco Announces ‘Salad Days’ LP, Streams ‘Passing Out Pieces’

Flat-capped, beer slugging sweetheart Mac DeMarco has announced the details for his third album, ‘Salad Days’.

The follow-up to 2012’s ‘2’ is released through Captured Tracks in the US on 1st April. It’s headed up by the glistening ‘Passing Out Pieces’, a sort of midway reference point between everything on ‘2’ and Grizzly Bear’s fat synth triumph ‘Two Weeks’.

‘Salad Days’ was initially previewed with a trio of songs performed on a Canadian radio show, where Mac first ‘spilled’ the details. There was every chance he could have been fooling around - his band have a thing for announcing the wrong song titles at gigs - but this is the real deal, and the lead track is available to listen to below.
