First track off Marika’s new ‘Deaf Heat’ EP is one of stark contrasts.
London songwriter Marika Hackman has announced a new EP, ‘Deaf Heat’. It’s out on 14th April 2014 and the lead track ‘Deep Green’ is streaming right now.
A jumbling together of brittle-boned synths and harp section, Marika’s vocals swerve away from conventional melody, spitting severe lines like ‘fucking with my god damn brain’ atop music that sounds contrastingly innocent.
Marika Hackman takes to a UK tour next week. Dates below.
