Listen to Martha cover The Marked Men’s ‘Fix My Brain’
They’ve also re-released ‘The Winter Fuel Allowance Ineligibility Blues’!
Martha released their album ‘Blisters In The Pit Of My Heart’ last year, and since then they’ve been playing at festivals like Mirrors and touring with bands such as Joyce Manor.
Now they’re gearing up to release a new 7” at the end of the week, their first new music since the 2016 LP. And just in time for the depths of winter one of them is titled ‘The Winter Fuel Allowance Ineligibility Blues’, a track that was recorded in 2014 and included in the now out-of-print ‘It Came From Plan-It-X’ compilation.
Alongside that, they’ve also shared a completely brand new cover of ‘Fix My Brain’, a number originally by Texas punk band The Marked Men. Of course, this is Martha, and so despite being about being broke, the economy in general and more, both tunes have heart, with a punk edge.
Listen to ‘The Winter Fuel Allowance Ineligibility Blues’ and ‘Fix My Brain’ below.
