Listen: Spoon Preview New Song, ‘They Want My Soul’

have unveiled the second taste so far of their new album, set to be released in summer 2014 according to just about everybody and everything, including their website.

Britt Daniel and co. initially previewed the album in March with a 26 second trailer. Even on that basis, it hinted at a bigger-sounding, sharper Spoon, and 35 seconds worth of ‘They Want My Soul’ (ok, there’s not much to go on!) confirms this, with crystallised synths jostling a kicking bassline.
