Listen: St. Vincent Airs New ‘Prince Johnny’ Track
Annie Clark can do no wrong - she’s unveiled the third, brilliant track from her new self-titled album.
First came ‘Birth in Reverse’, then the blow-your-socks-off ‘Digital Witness’, then the Lynch in hyperspace video for the very same song. Needless to say Annie Clark’s upped the excitement levels on her new self-titled St. Vincent record time and time again. New song ‘Prince Johnny’ is no exception to the rule.
More restrained than ‘Digital Witness” blitzkrieg routine, the song harks back to woozy material on previous records, referencing the Berlin Wall and all sorts of arty inside jokes.
