Listen: Thee Oh Sees Announce ‘Drop’ Album, Stream ‘Penetrating Eye’
Bay Area group return to their prolific ways after a 54 day hiatus.

’ hiatuses aren’t like other band’s hiatuses. When announcing a departure of sorts back in December 2013, they cited a ‘well deserved break and a transitional period.’
The Bay Area rockers have given it 54 days before returning. By their standards, that’s impressive. The project started in the 2000s but in the last five years they’ve released four albums straight, and they’re upping it with word of a new release, ‘Drop’.
‘Drop”s first track to, err… ‘Drop’ is ‘Penetrating Eye’, which the band cite as their heaviest to date. Unrelenting riffs proving their point, it’s a song that ensures every element - psyched-out organs, effect-drenched vocals - reach their crazed peak. Listen below.
