Perfect Form Listen to Shy Girls’ new track ‘Right, Alright’
Portland R&B purveyor Dan Vidmar has revealed a new cut from his forthcoming mixtape ‘4WZ’.
Dan Vidmar aka. Shy Girls has shared a new track taken from a soon to be released mixtape called ‘4WZ’. ‘Right, Alright’ follows ‘Renegade’ which Vidmar released late in 2014, following his 2013 debut EP, ‘Timeshare’. The forthcoming release will feature contributions from Tei Shi, Rome Fortune and Antwon.
On ‘Right, Alright’, Vidmar sings about a damaged relationship that he is eager to fix, atop a stylish emotional slow-jam. His vocals sound clearer than his previous work, and come to the forefront, with pristine punchy beats and woozy rhythms to match. Speaking about the murmuring refrains in the chorus, Vidmar says: “I love repetition. I love restraint and clarity. I hope this song has some of that.” Vidmar also says that the horn sections of the track were contributed by his friends in Portland group Grammies.
