Hear Spoon’s BBC 6Music session for Lauren Laverne
Britt Daniel previewed two songs from the ‘They Want My Soul’ record.
Yesterday Spoon’s Britt Daniel visited Lauren Laverne’s studio in the 6Music studios to perform a live acoustic version of two songs from the band’s new record, ‘They Want My Soul’.
Airing ‘Rent I Pay’ and ‘Rainy Taxi’, he visited for a quick interview while running through stripped-back dates on the two rawest cuts from the band’s eighth album.
The band’s first on Loma Vista, ‘They Want My Soul’ follows on from 2010 LP ‘Transference’. It’s due out on 4th August 2014.
Spoon next visit London for a date at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, 7th November.
