With her album ‘Thx’ coming out in a couple of weeks’ time (8th September on Double Double Whammy to be a bit more precise), Hannah Read, better known as Lomelda, has shared another cut from the record.
Following on from ‘Interstate Vision’ and ‘Out There’, she’s shared ‘From Here’. It’s a bittersweet track where Hannah’s wistful vocals glide atop melancholic guitar riffs and percussion that’s sometimes dusty, but at other times swells in line with the emotion. Much like ‘Out There’, it’s a track that ponders the idea of distance, with Hannah at one point singing about her location relative to another’s and trying to shorten that gap.
Lomelda has also been recently confirmed for this year’s Mirrors in London, which takes place on 28th October. She’s joined by the likes of Pinegrove, Los Campesinos!, Ultimate Painting, Baywaves, Phoebe Bridgers and many more.
