Loyle Carner debuts new track ‘Mufasa (prod. CoryaYo)’

There’s plenty of talk around Loyle Carner. Fresh from touring with Joey Bada$$ and collaborating with Kate Tempest, he’s swiftly been tipped as the UK’s next big breakthrough, a quick-witted breath of fresh air.

New song ‘Mufasa’ backs up these premonitions. A spontaneous, off-the-cuff CoryaYo production, the tour recording brings Lion King references into new territory. Beyond anything, it showcases Carner’s ability to stir up something different without being prompted. Nestling into unconventional corners with ease, this is the most succinct example to date of his potential.

This new track follows on from the ‘A Little Late’ EP, led by breakthrough track ‘BFG’. “When we got back I pinged it over to my little brother and he gave it the thumbs up. It’s just a little snippet of the music that’s been in the making since the EP,” Loyle says.
