M.I.A shares new track ‘Borders’
Ironically the song’s been geoblocked all weekend…
M.I.A shared the artwork for a new release last week, titled ‘Borders’. She didn’t specify whether it would be a new album, mixtape, or single, but either way, a track with the same name is now online.
Earlier this year, MIA released her ‘Broader Than A Border’ single, including standalone track ‘Swords’.
‘Borders’ was geo-blocked outside of the U.S. all weekend; which is either incredibly ironic, or a very meta form of protest from the self-proclaimed global artist. Now a version of the track that can be heard regardless of national borders has emerged online. Listen below.
