M.I.A. unveils ‘Borders’ video
New clip centres itself around the current refugee crisis.

M.I.A. has unveiled a hard-hitting video for her ‘Borders’ single.
The clip pits itself in the middle of the current refugee crisis. M.I.A. stays centre stage, but she’s surrounded by strangers climbing fences, jumping on small boats, forming their own human pyramids.
It matches up with the lyrics (“Broke people / Boat people / The realness / The new world”) and it feels more rooted in current events than anything M.I.A.’s released in years.
