‘Warm Foothills’, arguably the standout from Alt-J’s new album ‘This Is All Yours’, overlaps a long line of voices, with different words in a line being sung by separate musicians. One of these is Marika Hackman, and she’s just been confirmed to support the Mercury Prize winners on their September UK tour.
Dates take in London’s Alexandra Palace, plus two nights at Manchester Apollo. Following those dates, Marika takes off on her own European tour with The Antlers, and she’s also playing the Transgressive 10th birthday celebrations at London Barbican, 30th September.
Hackman’s just finishing off her debut album, which is due out in early 2015, produced by Charlie Andrew.
