Marmozets return after seven years with blistering new single ‘A Kiss From A Mother’

Bingley post-hardcore band Marmozets have returned after a break of seven years, with their blistering new single ‘A Kiss From A Mother’.

Returning to the scene after an extended break away from the band - in which vocalist Becca and guitarist Jack Bottomley had a daughter and got married - the now-quartet have shared their first new music since the release of their 2018 second album ‘Knowing What You Know Now’, via their new label home of Nettwerk. Picking up right where they left off, it’s a hold-no-barred assault of sonics, held together by Becca’s scorched screams. 

“The message of the song is to make sure you listen, rather than just shoot straight back,” Becca has explaned of the track, which was recorded alongside producers Jonathan Gilmore (Biffy Clyro, Nothing But Thieves) and Andy Hawkins. “Probably everyone can relate to the idea of not letting some advice go in one ear and out the other, let it actually immerse in you. As for my voice, that’s just my spirit coming out! I’m not playing a character; I’m giving it all that I’ve got.”. Check out the ferocious performance video below.

Alongside their new offering, the band have also announced plans for a return to the stage: they’ll play four shows next month, before embarking on a bigger UK tour in early 2026.
