Marnie Stern Shares Another Album Track, ‘East Side Glory’

The brilliantly-named ‘The Chronicles of Marnia’ is released on 18th March.

Marnie Stern announced she’d be releasing a fourth album this spring back in December. And, of course, it has that brilliant title.

‘The Chronicles Of Marnia’ will be released via Kill Rock Stars on 18th March, and while we’ve already heard one song from the record, as ‘Year Of The Glad’ was shared along with the album announcement, she’s now shared a second number.

‘East Side Glory’ has been posted on Kill Rock Stars’ Bandcamp page, where users can purchase the track for $1 (or what they prefer, should it be more) and there’s also a link to pre-order the record.

In a press release, Marnie explains how the sound of ‘The Chronicles…’ might differ slightly from her previous work. “I always gravitate towards interweaving and a more abrasive sound,” she says. “I was working with Nicholas Vernhes from Rare Book Room Recording in Brooklyn, and he was the producer. He wanted my voice clearer and fewer guitar parts. I tried it because I wanted to try something different.”
