Matthew E. White covers Randy Newman for La Blogotheque

Matthew E. White recently took part in La Blogotheque’s Take Away Show series, taking on a cover of Randy Newman’s ‘Sail Away’.

The most recent episode comes shot in Paris at an abandoned nightclub in Les Bains district and sees White performing Newman’s track with a percussionist, while exploring the the unlighted rooms of the derelict building. It’s a tender rendition of Newman’s classic and totally at odds with the creepy environment that the group decided to set the performance in.

Matthew E. White will release his new album ‘Fresh Blood’ on 9th March via Domino Records, featuring the singles ‘Rock & Roll Is Cold’ and ‘Tranquility’.
