Matthew E. White shares new track ‘Rock & Roll Is Cold’

His new single gets taken from his forthcoming album ‘Fresh Blood’.

Matthew E. White is gearing up to release his new album ‘Fresh Blood’ shortly and now, he’s shared a new single.

His new cut, ‘Rock & Roll Is Cold’, is the first full single to be taken from his new LP, which is due to be released on 9th March through Domino Records.

Speaking about the new single in a press release, White has said, “‘Rock & Roll is Cold’ is about how we continue to take the most vibrant, soulful, deep music and make it a caricature of itself. We look into it, force it to turn in on itself, force it to turn back on itself, and we lose the source, we lose the mystery, the magic, and we seem to be unaware that any of that is even happening.“

Accompanied by an animated lyric video, White’s track is a merry arrangement that keeps a wry eye on musical genres; it’s backed by joyful horn sections, soulful backing vocals and a jaunty piano melody that Jools Holland would be envious of

It’s also been confirmed that White’s upcoming solo show at St. Luke’s London has now sold out, he’s going to head out on a full tour this April. Tickets are on sale now, with White and his band playing the following dates:

14 Glasgow, Oran Mor
15 Leeds, Brudenell Social Club
16 Manchester, Gorilla
17 Gateshead, Sage
