The South Coast might harbour a big rep for spawning musical gold, but spare a thought for those who’re further afield than the Brighton beach. South Devon might not spring to mind you’re thinking of such hotbeds, but that’s exactly what new label Major Leagues are aiming to shake up. Meals are leading their charge.

Peddling a swirling, grungy fuzz-rock in the vein of shoegazers like Title Fight and Basement, on ‘Come Clean’ they’re scrubbing up like never before. Nonchalant vocals cut a path through the haze; a chunky, riff-led grunge that’s every bit as thick as Devon’s oh-so-famous clotted cream.
