Melin Melyn offer up sonic sunshine with latest track ‘The Pigeon & The Golden Egg’

Welsh favourites Melin Melyn are back with another taste of their forthcoming debut album ‘Mill On The Hill’ (out 7th March via Kartel Music Group), this time in the form of rollicking new single ‘The Pigeon & The Golden Egg’. 

An upbeat, jangle-pop offering that eschews meaningless platitudes (‘live laugh love’ etc), the track follows previous cuts ‘Vitamin D’, ‘Fantastic Food’ and ‘Promised Land’ to give us further insight into their self-constructed, utopian sonic world - one which the band have endearingly coined ‘Melin Village’. 

“Croeso! Welcome, one and all to the magical world of the Mill On The Hill,” frontman Gruff Glyn has proclaimed. “The yellow mill that sits on top of a hill, looking down on Melin Village and all of its wonderful occupants. Everyone is welcome here. Don’t be deceived, this is no ordinary mill. Our duty is to create music inside the mill for all the occupants of Melin Village, and anyone else who’d like to listen. Because, after all, who could imagine a world without music?”
