Mica Levi’s ‘Under The Skin’ nominated for BAFTA

Next month will see the Royal Opera House in London host the BAFTAs, the British film industry’s yearly awards bash, where films such as ‘The Theory of Everything’, ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ and ‘The Imitation Game’ will slog it out to be crowned the jury’s favourite.

Among the nominees - which include Benedict Cumberbatch and Eddie Redmayne up for ‘Leading Actor’, Amy Adams and Rosamund Pike up for ‘Leading Actress’ and Richard Linklater and Wes Anderson competing to be ‘Best Director’, is Mica Levi, whose soundtrack for the Scarlett Johansson-starring ‘Under The Skin’ has been nominated for the ‘Original Music’ prize.

It’s up against Antonio Sanchez for ‘Birdman’, Alexandre Desplate for The Grand Budapest Hotel, Hans Zimmer’s ‘Interstellar’, and Jóhann Jóhannsson for ‘The Theory of Everything’.

The BAFTAs take place on 8th February at the Royal Opera House in London.
