MMOTHS shares new track ‘Yago’ ahead of debut album

Irish producer’s been in the studio for the past twelve months - hear a snippet of what’s to come.

Jack Colleran’s work as MMOTHS one took him on an arena tour with The xx, but since then the project’s headed for more reclusive territory. The Irish producer’s spent the past twelve months in a studio, whittling away at the emotion-led, heart-on-sleeve electronica and applying it to a full-length.

There’s still no official word on where Colleran’s going with this debut album and when it’s set to land, but new song ‘Yago’ is about the most warm and all-enveloping song he’s put his name to. Vocals are strung out to mimic a primal cry, with guzzling synths doing the rest.

It links up with ‘Santo’ in previewing the record, which looks set to land in 2015.

MMOTHS posted the song with the following note:

“I’ve spent the past twelve months writing this album

yago and santo were both written during that time

although they aren’t a representation of the record itself, they come from the same place

in a way they’re a sign of whats to come.”
