Post-rock isn’t Mogwai’s only speciality. The Scots have a thing for strong, premium whisky. They also like eating out and in general, drinking. It’s all attested in their various twitter accounts: Mogwai Eat and Mogwai Drink.
Mere days after the release of ‘Rave Tapes’, the band are bringing out their own version of the strong stuff. We’re talking really strong. It’s 57.1% alcohol, which means it’s probably best suited for a tipple or the worst night out of your life.
It doesn’t come cheap either. A bottle is priced at £55, and the band will be signing bottles at their Glasgow Concert Hall gig on 28th January.
Mogwai play the following UK shows:
24 London, Royal Festival Hall
25 London, Royal Festival Hall
27 Manchester, Bridgewater Hall
28 Glasgow, Royal Concert Hall
