New Issue Of DIY Out Now Feat. Alt-J, Jessie Ware, Spector & More…
We’ve also got a killer preview of this year’s Reading & Leeds festivals.
We’re in the throes of summer now (…yeah, we know) and whilst the weather may have not made up its mind, we’re one hundred percent sure of one thing: the only way to end summer right is down to three words.
And those three words, you ask, would be, Reading and Leeds.
So, as if to prove our point perfectly, we’ve given you the juiciest of Reading and Leeds previews, and all within the column inches of our beautiful August issue, which is available right now.
Donning the cover of this month’s issue we have the rather mischievous Alt-J - the band that, if you didn’t know already, are taking over the bloody world - who are right at the top of our ‘Who to risk the mud for’ list. Then, there’s a run down of all the other stupidly exciting bands and acts that you just have to watch during the Bank Holiday Weekend. But we won’t spoil that surprise just yet…
We also gets to grips with the art of the pop star with Jessie Ware, before getting our hair gel fix for 2012 with both Spector and Eugene McGuinness, and rounding it all off nicely with the rather ridiculously photogenic Twin Shadow. Oh and we chat to both Yeasayer and Purity Ring. Yes, we do.
We dive headfirst into Micachu’s studio, find out what’s in store with Two Door Cinema Club and have a bit chat with Band of Horses. Oh and we go get involved in that stupidly fun punk rock touring circus that is Warped Tour. Yeah we do!
We’ve also given our reviews section a bit of a spruce up, and we report back from all sorts of summer festivals. So what are you waiting for? Go pick it up now!
As well as being up for grabs at these fine establishments, you can also read it right now, here.
And if you’ve got any thoughts you just have to tell us, just drop us an email at [email protected]
