New York's Museum of Modern Art announces Björk exhibition

New York’s Museum of Modern Art has announced details of an exhibition dedicated to Björk.

Titled simply, ‘Björk’, it will run between 7th March and 7th June next year, and feature work from the Icelandic artist across a multitude of disciplines.

The exhibition is being organised by MoMA’s ‘Chief Curator at Large’, Klaus Biesenbach, who explains, “Björk is an extraordinarily innovative artist whose contributions to contemporary music, video, film, fashion, and art have had a major impact on her generation worldwide. This highly experimental exhibition offers visitors a direct experience of her hugely collaborative body of work.”

It will feature work both biographical - drawing from her seven studio albums among much more - and fictitious, co-written by Björk alongside Icelandic writer Sjón Sigurdsson.

Björk has also recently unveiled plans to take album ‘Biophilia’ in to the classroom and appeared on Death Grips’ latest album.
