Nia Archives teams up with CLIPZ for carnival-inspired jungle banger ‘Maia Maia’
“Our vision was to create a track that could feel like the soundtrack to the 2026 World Cup.”

Hot on the heels of a stacked summer of festivals (including a turn supporting Chase & Status at All Points East), Nia Archives is back with a scorching new CLIPZ collab, ‘Maia Maia’.
Incorporating the vibrancy of Brazilian culture with her signature new-gen junglist sound, the track has been released via Nia’s own label, Up Ya Archives, and acts as a thematic follow up to her 2022 carnival cut, ‘Baianá’.
“Clipz and I wanted to capture some Brazilian junglist energy with ‘Maia Maia’, drawing inspiration from legends like DJ Patife and DJ Marky,” Nia has reflected. “When we hit the studio, our vision was to create a track that could feel like the soundtrack to the 2026 World Cup. I’d come across this incredible samba group sample, paired it with an old Juno-106 I’d just picked up, and from there, ‘Maia Maia’ was born.”
