Noel Gallagher supported Noel Gallagher last night

Last night saw Noel Gallagher support himself at a London show. As you do.

It’s little surprise, really - who else would be good enough for Noel Gallagher to support Noel Gallagher other than Noel Gallagher? Backed by a band that included former Oasis member Gem Archer, he opened the show with a semi-acoustic set, before a brief break, and then returned with full-band bombast.

Earlier this week, Noel confessed to not being Adele’s biggest fan. In fact, he claimed her music was “for fucking grannies”, which is a potentially problematic sentence depending on where you place the emphasis. Ooh err.
