Oasis are getting another documentary, this time on the BBC
It’ll be available to view on iPlayer from 30th September.
Like the old proverb says, you wait for one documentary on Oasis to arrive and then two come along at once. Or, something like that. ‘Supersonic’ is released in cinemas on 2nd October, and has been executive produced by ‘Amy’ director Asif Kapaida. Now the BBC have got in on the action, too, and have announced that they’ll be running their own documentary about the Britpoppers.
According to NME, ‘Oasis In Their Own Words’ “charts the band’s meteoric rise” and will include “footage and interviews from throughout their career.” Where have we heard that one before? The Beeb’s scope is a little bigger mind, covering the whole rise and fall of the Gallaghers, while ‘Supersonic’ specifically charts the band’s time between 1993-96.
‘Oasis In Their Own Words’ is released on BBC iPlayer on 30th September. With ‘Supersonic’ out just a couple of days later, you can be the judge of which one is your ‘Wonderwall.’
