A new documentary about the iconic 1996 shows is set to be released this month
Oasis have shared a previously unseen clip of their performance of ‘Live Forever’ at their iconic Knebworth shows in 1996.
The memorable shows are set to be the subject of a new documentary by filmmaker Jake Scott, which will come out on 23rd September and tell “the story of that weekend and the special relationship between Oasis and their fans that made it possible”.
In the video, Noel Gallagher reflects on the legacy of ‘Live Forever’ and how the song’s success changed the band’s career.
“We were a pretty decent band the night before I wrote ‘Live Forever’ but it was indie music. The day after I wrote ’Live Forever’, we were gonna be the biggest band in the world. I knew it.”
