Oasis release Liam Gallagher-sung demo of fan favourite ‘Sad Song’
The new version is lifted from the 30th anniversary editions of ‘Definitely Maybe’.

Oasis are marking the 30th anniversary of their iconic 1994 debut ‘Definitely Maybe’ by reissuing the album in a brand new format, and they’ve now shared a rare recording of fan favourite track ‘Sad Song’ - which originally featured as a bonus track on the vinyl album - sung by Liam Gallagher, rather than Noel.
‘Sad Song (Mauldeth Road West Demo, Nov ‘92)’ is the third track to be unveiled from ‘Definitely Maybe”s 30th anniversary deluxe editions (out on 30th August via Big Brother Recordings). The reissues are set to feature tracks from the original recording session at Monnow Valley Studios - which were discarded by the band as they felt too polished - as well as outtakes from the released album recorded at Cornwall’s Sawmills Studios.
You can watch the lyric video for Oasis’ new (or, technically, old) version of ‘Sad Song’ and check out the reissue’s full tracklist below.
