Oh god, Mac DeMarco’s got another comedy alter-ego

Mac DeMarco’s alter ego Dave Fuck is the stuff of legend by now. Also known as The Backer, Mr Fuck helps cars back safely into parking bays, even if his work isn’t always fully appreciated by society. “Some people say it’s a waste of time and most people don’t need to be backed up,” Dave Fuck says in reply. “I tell them ‘fuck you’.”So, we’ve had The Backer, and DeMarco is now back with another alter-ego, The Cracker. In a new sketch for 2 Wet Crew, featuring DJ Douggpound of “Tim and Eric, DeMarco “lives for the crunch”, and appears by a river to crack a stranger’s back. It all gets an awful lot stranger from then on, too.Absolutely no idea what’s going on here, to be honest. Mac DeMarco’s new album ‘This Old Dog’ is out in May.
