Oliver Wilde’s got a new video for ‘You’re So Kool-Aid’
It’ll “make you want to take your skin off and put it back where it belongs”. Okay.
Fancy watching a video that will, in Memory Hole’s Nic Maier’s words, “want to take your skin off and put it back where it belongs”? The new clip from Oliver Wilde is just what you need!
Directed by “Commodore Gilgamesh” who is also “the father of the largest Jerry Maguire VHS collection on earth” (impressive) and “soon to be your father as well” (creepy), Oliver’s video for ‘You’re So Kool-Aid’ is a ride through a blur of increasingly surreal, warped and slightly unsettling VHS tapes and home recordings.
Travel through a variety of peoples’ lives to see them having good times and bad times, and more often than not they’re just as weird as each other. How can a static image of an armchair turn out to be so disturbing? And why are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are in there? So many questions, so little time.
