Opus Kink unveil brand new single ‘1:18’

The Brighton boys will release their second EP in May.

Opus Kink have released their latest single, ‘1:18’. The track is the latest to be revealed from their upcoming second EP, ‘My Eyes, Brother!’, which will arrive on 19th May via Nice Swan Records. ‘1:18’ follows first single ‘Dust’, which landed back in February. Ahead of their EP, the DIY Class of 2023 graduates say the song is about “letting your hair down and finding peace in the unreasonable squalid indifference of the universe… You do you, hun!” In a press release, the Brighton sextet also described ‘My Eyes, Brother!’ as “a loose collection of dream and nightmare sequences.” “The narrators, proudly unreliable, don their various faces with much bad taste. The bad friend, serial progenitor, shame-wracked voluntary celibate and love-wracked ex-pimp are reading Ecclesiastes on Goodreads together. Their tummies are funny. They are asking themselves, as we ask our own selves: how to defecate up the walls, find our reflections in car windows, stop to tongue-kiss those reflections, run away in grief, break our teeth on a handrail, crawl home to a locked door and somehow still feel sexy?” Catch Opus Kink at the following dates: APRIL 08 - Stockton Calling, Stockton-on-Tees 09 - Tarantino Fest, Hull 26 - Trix, Antwerp, Belgium 28 - Supersonic, Paris 30 - Sound City Festival, Liverpool MAY 04 - Focus Festival, Wrexham 19 - Band On The Wall, Manchester 20 - King Tuts, Glasgow 21 - ZEROX, Newcastle 23 - Village Underground, London 27 - Dot To Dot Festival, Bristol 27 - Live At Leeds In The Park 28 - Dot To Dot Festival, Nottingham JUNE 02 - Patterns, Brighton
