Neu Pick
Former Omi Palone frontman Philip Serfaty strikes out solo as Oslo House
Hear ‘Plateau’, Serfaty’s first solo release, premiering on DIY as today’s Neu Pick.

Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from Oslo House.
A far cry from his more manic days as frontman of frantic post-punk upstarts Omi Palone, Phil Serfaty’s Oslo House project relishes the softer side of life.
On ‘Plateau’, Serfaty’s debut solo track under the new guise, he pulls back the fury, instead opting for surfy, swaying melody. Written and recorded in his bedroom in the wake of Omi Palone’s split, that sense of re-invention and reflection flows throughout. Sauntering out the starting gates like a pared-back Mac DeMarco, it’s a warm, comforting new guise for a former master of mayhem.
Set for a 7” release via London label Trendy Feelings next month, get the first spin of ‘Plateau’ below, and pre-order it here.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
