Out now!
DIY’s Class of 2017 issue is out now, ft. Loyle Carner, Dream Wife, Declan McKenna, GIRLI, and more
DIY is free - pick up a copy in our usual, beloved UK stockists or read for free online.
With 2016 finally coming to a close, it’s time to look forward. In our brand new bumper double issue - out today - we’ve picked out the acts set to make massive splashes in the next year. The December 2016/January 2017 issue is available to read online, or physically via our lovely stockists.
Our Class of 2017 is led by Loyle Carner, the South London rap prodigy who’s already making huge waves, powered by family values.
Elsewhere, there’s politically minded pop hero Declan McKenna, soul sensation Jorja Smith and Dream Wife’s fired up punk-pop. Diet Cig let us in on their fun-time secrets, while Blaenavon open up the moody world of that incoming debut album. Abattoir Blues, meanwhile, are using their rumbling post-punk to instigate conversation on some important topics.
Pumarosa talk everything from their fruity namesake to sleeping in yurts, Trudy and The Romance doo-wop their way into another sure-to-be-breakthrough year, SLØTFACE cut through apathy and Will Joseph Cook brings the tropical pop.
Eat Fast and ESTRONS‘ gang mentalities join the pack alongside GIRLI’s bolshy brat-pop, while Pixx, Liss and Mura Masa bring a slinkier side to proceedings.
Elsewhere, we’ve got all the scoop on a newly returned Japandroids’ next album, a catch-up with Metronomy, and reviews of all the latest new records out in the world.
The December 2016/January 2017 issue of DIY is out NOW, and available free via stockists across the UK, or readable online. If you’d rather have a copy posted to you in person, you can do so (or subscribe!) below.
