Owen Pallett showcases new video for ‘The Sky Behind The Flag’
His new clip was created by Belgian illustrator Eno Swinnen.
Canadian composer and violinist Owen Pallett has unveiled his new video for ‘The Sky Behind The Flag’.
Created by Belgian illustrator Eno Swinnen, the clip accompanies the track as taken from Pallett’s second album under his name, ‘In Conflict’. It’s out now through Domino Records.
Speaking to the FADER - who premiered the video - about the track and its themes, Pallett has said: “The song is about how great distance can exist between things that appear to be very close. Like two lovers, or two halves of a brain: the extrovert that is engaging with the world, and the introvert that is providing commentary.”
A mesmerising clip which sees the characters’ animated faces morphing and disappearing into the blank background of space, it matches the intriguing delicacy of the track’s electronics.
