Parquet Courts announce world tour dates, new name, form band with PC Worship

Seeing Parquet Courts live is a pretty simple, cathartic experience. Heads roll, feet bounce, sweat pores get busy. It looks like the Brooklyn band are intent on complicating the process (slightly) however, by claiming that they’re playing a string of upcoming dates under a different name.

With shows spanning North America and Europe, they’re being listed under a different guise: “Parkay Quarts”. These dates include a headline appearance at East London venue The Laundry.

Alongside the new name, they’ve formed a group of their own with fellow punk stalwarts PC Worship. PCPC is “born out of an aesthetic solidarity”, and together they play a run of dates this autumn.
