Parquet Courts reveal new video for ‘Black And White

With the band’s brand new album on shelves now, they’ve unveiled a new visual clip.

Fresh from releasing their brand new album, Parquet Courts have revealed their latest video clip for ‘Black And White’. Taken from their newly-released full-length ‘Sunbathing Animal’ - their first release with Rough Trade Records - the video was directed by the band’s own Austin Brown alongside Australian artist Johann Rashid.

Confessedly inspired by “the experimental films of William Burroughs and Brion Gysin”, ‘Black And White’s accompanying clip attempts to explore the deeper meanings behind otherwise simple tasks, such as walking down a street.

As if the clip wasn’t intrinsically linked to the band enough, with Brown lending his helping hand to directing duties, the entire thing was also filmed on the home street of frontman Andrew Savage, in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn. Oh, and the whole thing was - of course - shot in black and white. Watch the clip above.

In other band news, the four-piece will be returning to our shores to play a handful of shows across this summer.
