Parquet Courts Stream ‘Tally All The Things That You Broke’ EP In Full

Brooklyn brats sport their latest, punk-stamped release.

Scrawling every venomous lyric onto a red sheet of paper, scanning the damn thing, and plugging in the internet and sharing some songs: That’s how Parquet Courts go about spreading word on their music.

Their sort-of-first-release of 2013, the ‘Tally All The Things That You Broke’ EP, is a follow-up to 2012’s self-released ‘Light Up Gold’ record, rated 9/10 on DIY. Led by the already unveiled ‘You’ve Got Me Wonderin Now’, the EP goes onto showcase the kind of batshit crazy, brattish brutishness that appeared on their debut, plus a song that almost definitely could be mistaken for a Beck track.

It’s all about the closer ‘He’s Seeing Paths’. It’s just under eight minutes long and it sounds like nothing else in the band’s history. What with it being wedged in at the very end, it could be symbolic of a future sea-change (*ahem*) or it’s just a bit of fun from the Brooklyn group.

Anyway. Stream the whole thing on this niftily designed site of theirs. Released on 7th October, pre-order here.
