Patrick Wolf to score soundtrack for Noel Coward biopic

London musician is currently at work on his sixth album.

Patrick Wolf has announced plans to compose a soundtrack for the first time.

The London songwriter has been commissioned to compose the score for a Noel Coward biopic (‘Noel’), based around the life of the English playligfht and actor.

“We both grew up in the same parts of south west London and began our journeys onto the stage and into writing at the same precocious age,” Patrick says, in reference to his new role.

“The script, director, Noel Coward Estate and the cast attached combined are already in perfect synergy to make this something magical, its an honour to be the next piece of such a legendary puzzle.”

Directed by Joe Stephenson, Vanessa Redgrave and Sir Ian McKellan are in talks to be a part of the biopic.

Patrick’s composition will be backed by a run of European shows this summer. He’s currently at work on his sixth album, the follow-up to ‘Sundark and Riverlight’.
