Perfume Genius Album Ad Removed From Google/Youtube
Perfume Genius’ new album ‘Put Your Back N 2 It’ comes on the 20th February.

An advert promoting the new album from Perfume Genius was recently removed from Google/Youtube for not being ‘family safe’.
The sixteen-second advert was uploaded yesterday (24th January) by Matador, before it was removed.
Google/Youtube made the following statement in regards to the removal of the clip.
‘The ad has been disapproved because it violates our Adult Image/Video Content policy. Per this policy, video content, audio, static imagery, and site content must be family safe. Any ads that contain non family safe material are disapproved. I noted to the team that the people in the video are not entirely unclothed, but the overall feeling of the video is one of a more adult nature, including promoting mature sexual themes and what appears to be nude content. As such, the video is non family safe. In order to have this video ad approved, you will need to bring it into compliance with our policy.’
The advert can be viewed below, and features a clip from Perfume Genius’ latest video for ‘Hood’.

The advert clip also features the track ‘All Waters’; a track written about ‘internalized homophobia’.
‘Put Your Back N 2 It’ comes out on the 20th February.
