Perfume Genius announces new album ‘Too Bright’, streams ‘Queen’
Mike Hadreas’ new LP is out this September - listen to the lead track now.
Mike Hadreas aka. Perfume Genius has announced details of his new, third album, ‘Too Bright’.
Out 22nd September on Turnstile, the new album is led by ‘Queen’; a crazed, outpouring of noise that departs from the striking balladry of 2012 LP ‘Put Your Back N 2 It.’. This lead track is almost proggy, linking together bellowed-out vocals with sky-reaching synths.
The record features PJ Harvey collaborated John Parish, and it was recorded with Portishead’s Adrian Utley.
Perfume Genius is set to play Cate Le Bon’s Mas Mas all-dayer in Cardiff (28th August) and End of the Road festival, Salisbury (30th August). He’s just announced the following UK dates:
SEPTEMBER
01 Glasgow, Centre for Contemporary Arts

03 Ramsgate, Ramsgate Music Hall
NOVEMBER

24 Leeds, The Wardrobe
