Perfume Genius Debuts Pro-Same Sex Music Video

In a world of crass popstars trying to out-shock each other with their videos full of outdated morals, how refreshing it is to see this new video from Perfume Genius.

Ahead of the release of his second album, Seattle based musician Mike Hadreas has released a new vid that focuses on society’s outlook on same-sex relationships and gay marriage - as well as the concept of gender as a whole.

‘Hood’ shows the singer in a series of different scenarios, some romantic some downright comical, with porn actor Arpad Miklos.

In a recent interview with Pitchfork, Hadreas told the publication: “If I just got my boyfriend to be in there with me, people could just pass it off as cute because we’re both boyish. I like the idea of not having things be so obvious.”
