Mike Hadreas’ monstrous new effort contains daring feats (and plenty of screaming).
Perfume Genius is streaming his fantastic new album ‘Too Bright’ in full, a week ahead of release.
Mike Hadreas’ third album is due out on 22nd September via Turnstile Music, and it’s crammed to the top with daring feats. Initially, sessions for the record began with Hadreas intending to make more commercial music, perhaps toning down slightly on the grim realities he put to tape. The end result is something that goes against that. There’s ‘I’m A Mother’’s twisted, Fever Ray-style bleakness, the Elvis impression’ed bustle of ‘Grid’, and the cinematic triumph that is lead single ‘Queen’.
