Petition started to get Boiler Room to upload famous Grimes Ibiza set

It remains one of the most important days in the history of the Boiler Room, and indeed all live streamed dance music, but it’s been nigh-on erased from the internet.

Back in 2012 when Grimes was still riding high on the success of her ‘Visions’ LP, she took to a special Boiler Room set in Richie Hawtin’s House in Ibiza. Giving precisely zero fucks, she ignored the sea of pecs and thongs, shunned the haters on Boiler Room chat, and opted to play some of the best pop music around. Venga Boys, Taylor Swift and to top it all off in the blazing Ibiza sunshine - Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’.

Boiler Room tend to upload sets online after they’re first aired live, but they opted against this one. In response, a petition has been started in the UK asking “the best set ever played in the history of Boiler Room” to be uploaded. At the time of writing, 500 signatures have been reached. Let’s see this thing gain some momentum. For the good of the internet, this needs to happen.
